Scope Of Work

This $2.8 million project included pre-construction and construction services. Pre-construction surveys were performed and IMI staff reviewed and documented existing conditions. IMI worked closely with Architects and Designers during structural modifications to ensure that the project remained both logical and safe. Because this was performed at the JFKC, significant coordination was necessary to provide public access during scheduled work performed between the hours of 12:01 am and 10:00 am; therefore, IMI coordinated with the occupants and contractors performing work to ensure safe construction activities with no incidental impact. At the end of each work shift, all spaces designed as public access were cleaned so they remained accessible to JFK personnel and patrons. Dust partitions were constructed prior to demolition and remained in place until completion of Phase. To control noise, contractors were restricted to hand tools only during business hours, and could use equipment during the off shift hours. During the Construction Phase (six Phases), existing systems, such as Fire Alarm, Security Access, Sprinkler, and Lightning Protection were maintained at all times and were integrated with the new building systems upon completion. IMI has also worked closely with the Architect on Change Orders for the Roof Terrace Life Safety Project. IMI worked with the Architect to design new frames, doors, and hardware from the South Gallery area to the RA office corridor optimum function and coordination between the foot traffic and occupancy space. IMI self-performed and managed Subcontractors for construction activities on the Roof Terrace Life Safety Project.
